About Us

Our Philosophy

We believe in an evidenced based approach to Neurofeedback by using the 19 channel Quantitative EEG (qEEG) or Brain Map in order to develop individualized, specific Neurofeedback treatment plans rather than relying on symptom led or canned protocols that are not individualized to the client. Information from the Quantitative EEG (qEEG) is used to determine what areas of the brain may be functioning inefficiently, aid in developing individualized and comprehensive treatment protocols, or even assist a physician in determining the best medications or supplements to recommend for various mental health issues.

A qEEG can be performed at any time during the course of Neurofeedback or at the end of training in order to measure and visualize the degree of improvement that has been obtained. We are unique to many Neurofeedback providers in the surrounding area because the data is obtained and analyzed by a Board Certified Medical Doctor. Otto S. Kramer, M.D. has advanced training in qEEG analysis; Linda Marshall-Kramer, OTR/L is Board Certified in EEG and able to correlate findings on this assessment with sensory processing concerns.

Our office is highly specialized in the use of Neurofeedback. We utilize 4-19 channel Z score EEG Neurofeedback as well as LORETA (Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography).

Linda Marshall-Kramer, OTR/L has over 30 years of pediatric clinical expertise and is a graduate of the University of Illinois; she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Linda is BOARD CERTIFIED in EEG NEUROFEEDBACK through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA); she is the only Board Certified Occupational Therapist in the State of Illinois specializing in EEG Neurofeedback. Linda additionally is Certified in Sensory Integration (SIPT) as well as Neuro-Developmental Treatment/Pediatric (C/NDT) and is the Owner and Clinical Director of Children's Therapy Services. (childrenstherapyservicesinc.com) in Frankfort, Illinois. This is a multi-disciplinary clinic that provides Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy as well as EEG Neurofeedback. Linda is also a national presenter on Neurofeedback for colleagues in her field and is available for speaking engagements by parent and professional organizations.

Linda is joined in providing EEG Neurofeedback with her husband Otto S. Kramer, M.D. and a multi-disciplinary staff of clinicians. Her husband, Dr. Kramer, is a Board Certified Medical Doctor and a graduate of the University of Illinois School of Medicine. Linda and Dr. Kramer have received extensive training in Quantitative EEG analysis, Z score Surface and Loreta Neurofeedback by pioneers in the field such as Robert Thatcher PhD, Joel Lubar PhD and Marty Wutke.

Our Center

At our center, we provide EEG Neurofeedback for individuals ages two through adult and are open Monday through Saturday with late evening appointments available as well. We have a multi-disciplinary team who are formally trained in Neurofeedback and pursue additional training through advanced coursework. It is vital that Neurofeedback be performed by clinicians who have completed training beyond the introductory level and are committed to continue this process as benefits of therapy are directly related to the level of expertise the clinician possesses. We realize EEG Neurofeedback is a highly complex process that requires dedication and on-going education and mentoring. As a team, we have a strong desire to broaden our educational foundation and provide the most advanced form of this therapy.

We have extensive experience treating children using EEG Neurofeedback and often extend this therapy to parents and other family members, especially once they see the changes that have taken place in their children. Our high number of patient referrals and Testimonials attest to our proven results. We specialize in the treatment of Attention Deficit Disorder as it relates to Sensory Processing Disorder.

A critical area that makes us unique is our understanding of the close relationship that exists between Sensory Processing and Behavioral/Mood issues, Attention and Focus, Anxiety and Depression and Obsessive Compulsive tendencies. Because Linda has over 25 years of certification in Sensory Integration she is able to diagnosis this condition and understand how this provides the foundation for neural development. Sensory Integration therapy is often included in the child's treatment regime in order to address the foundational needs of the child's sensory system. Sensory diet strategies are incorporated into the Neurofeedback session in order to assist the child in becoming at ease with the technical process.
